Plain-language summary of what we collect through this website, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site. That means your name, email address, phone number and message when you contact us, apply to volunteer or make a partnership enquiry; and your name and email address when you donate.
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not track you across other websites.
Donations and payment details
Card and mobile money payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment provider. Your card details are entered on Paystack's own secure checkout and are never sent to, seen by, or stored on this website. We receive only the outcome of the payment: the amount, the reference, the date, the payment channel and the email address you used.
Paystack processes that information as its own controller under its privacy policy. Recurring gifts are managed by Paystack as a subscription and can be cancelled at any time — contact us and we will help.
How we use your information
- To reply to your message, application or enquiry.
- To acknowledge and account for your donation.
- To send you updates about our work, if you asked for them.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers who make this site and its payments work.
Photographs
Images on this site were taken during our own programmes and events and are also published on our Facebook page. We aim to photograph the people we serve with their knowledge and in a way that preserves their dignity. If you appear in an image and would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down — no explanation needed.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for as long as we need it to do the work it relates to. Donation records are kept for our financial accounting.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or unsubscribe from updates. Write to us using the details on our contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page.
